Super Napier is an excellent green fodder grass for goats. The leaves of Super Napier grass will be wide, smooth and greener than ordinary Napier grass. Its stems are long, juicy and is rich in high crude protein. Super Napier’s protein content is about 16% which very high compared to other fodder grasses currently available in the market. To gain more weight, Goats should be fed with Super Napier at the rate of 7 kg per head per day. In this way, some goat owners can eliminate the need for other fodder grasses and natural pasture. However, animals should be fed every day with concentrate mixture @ 250 –350 g/animal/day.
