How to grow Bitter Gourd at home

Take a ripe bitter guard and remove seeds from them

Take a garden growbag and but the bag with potting mix in a ratio of 40% soil, 30% compost, 30% river sand

Plant 3 to 4 seeds in one grow bag

Irrigate them thoroughly

After 20 days plants have grown by 1 feet.

Make necessary arrangements like climber nets for the climber to grow.

After 30 days, more climbers have developed.

After 45 days, bitter gourd plants will start flowering

After 60 days, you can see lots of small bitter gourds in the plants

After 75 days, bitter gourds will be ready for harvesting

Come lets harvest the bitter gourds

Normally guava trees has to be trimmed between November and December during winter season and between March and April during spring season. During first pruning , the guava tree has to be pruned at a height of 2 feet and it will encourage the growth of lateral branches within a month .
